Radio Javan Staff Arrested in Iran
20 October 2015 by Editor

Two members of the Radio Javan staff have been arrested in Tehran on Sunday, October 18, according to Rooz Online.

Radio Javan is an internet radio station and the world’s most popular Persian music website. It plays a broad selection of music by Iranian artists from both inside and outside Iran.

However, foreign-based Iranian singers and their music are illegal inside Iran, because they havn't received legal permission from the Iranian authorities.

Iran’s cyber police has confirmed the news, but not provided any further information.

The news came after an Iranian singer with a legal permission to work in Iran recently threatened Radio Javan to remove his song from the website.
