Mohammad-Hossein Mousazadeh was a staff member at the Narenji news website. On December 3, 2013, local news agencies in Iran reported that he and 13 other members of the Narenji website had been arrested by agents from the Revolutionary Guards' Intelligence Organization, Kerman Division.

Mousazadeh and a number of his colleagues had been accused of "actions against national security through collaborating with foreign networks" and "designing and producing content for counter-revolutionary websites with the intention of overthrowing the Holy Islamic Republic of Iran."

The other members of the Narenji website that were arrested in the case were Alireza Vaziri, Nasim Nikmehr, Maliheh Nakhaei, Sara Sajjadpour, Hossein Nozari, Amir Sadeghpour, Mehdi Faryabi, Kiavash Sotoudeh and Jamshid Jabbari.

Since Mohammad-Hossein Mousazadeh was not active in the management of the website and he only worked as an intern at the Narenji editorial office, he was released on bail two days after his arrest and interrogation.

On May 24, 2014, Mousazadeh’s court case was heard in Branch 6 of the Kerman Prosecutor’s Office. He was sentenced to one and half years in prison which was suspended for three years.
