Xaniar Khosravi Awaiting trial

Xaniar Khosravi is an Iranian pop singer who has been banned from artistic activities by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran.

In a video published on May 15, 2021, Khosravi said: "The Ministry of Guidance contacted my manager and announced that, until further notice, the Ministry would not issue me a permit and that I was banned from working. We asked the reason and were told that publishing Instagram stories of female fans was the reason. This is a new excuse. There is no rule against publishing stories involving women who are wearing hijab.”

The singer further emphasized that he had been told by the Ministry of Guidance that he had no right to post videos of his female fans on his Instagram.

Khosravi said: "I have been working for ten years, out of which I have been banned from working for six years. This is the reason why everyone migrates and leaves the country. What is wrong with publishing videos of my fans? Which law bans that? Looks like you just want to make us upset and make us flee the country?"

Khosravi, 36, started singing, composing, songwriting and playing music in 2013. He has also acted in the movies "Snow on the Pines" and the series "Love is not Closed."
