Mostafa Eilkhanizadeh is a writer, translator and the managing director of the cultural educational institution Adab / Literature. Eilkhanizadeh also works as a Kurdish language teacher and has published several books on Kurdish language and literature, in particular focussing on educational books for children and adolescents.
On January 26, 2021, Eilkhanizadeh was arrested by security agents at his place of work. The agents arrested Eilkhanizadeh without presenting a warrant.
During his arrest, the agents also seized and confiscated some of Eilkhanizadeh’s personal belongings including his mobile phone and computer.
According to published information, Eilkhanizadeh was arrested in connection with a ceremony he had organised at the Adab institute in celebration of the anniversary of the foundation of the Republic of Kurdistan on January 21, 2021.
On January 30, 2021, after two days of interrogation by security agents, Eilkhanizadeh was transferred to the quarantine ward of the Bukan County Prison.
To date, no information has been released concerning the charges against Eilkhanizadeh or the security institution that carried out his arrest.
As a writer and translator, Eilkhanizadeh has also published several books, including; Teaching Theory for Kurdish Reading and Writing, Advice on Essay and Letter Writing, Nasim Baran, The Development of the Kurdish Language and Other Collections of Iranian Languages, The Most Powerful Creature, Bezak Aqel, Kurdish Mystical Poets and many others.
