Chavoshi’s case was tried at Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court presided over by Judge Salavati, who sentenced him to two years in prison and a two-year suspended sentence. Branch 36 of the Revolutionary Court of Appeals under Judge Zargar upheld the lower court’s verdict.
Chavoshi served the remainder of his sentence at Evin’s Ward 350 and was released on August 15th, 2012. During his incarceration, he was not released on bail and was not granted a furlough.
