Iranian poet and songwriter Yaghma Golrouee was released on bail on Wednesday, December 9, 2015.

Golrouee, who was arrested by security forces on November 30, 2015, has now been released on bail according to Iran’s semi-official news agency ILNA. The reason for his detention is still unclear.

The popular poet and songwriter’s book ‘I have a dream’ was Iran’s best-selling book last year.

His detention follows the recent arrests of other Iranian writers and artists, including five journalists, two poets and a filmmaker.
